Lilith Hasbeck

Service designer and graphic designer.
Welcome to my portfolio.

About me

Hello! I am currently a postgraduate service design student at The Royal College of Art, and have a background in visual communication (graphic design) and co-design (design anthropology). I have previously worked at Livework (an East London service design agency), Policy Lab (at the Cabinet Office), and MindLab (a cross-governmental innovation lab in Copenhagen). In these different settings, I have worked with 'classic' service design, design research, visual communication, and bits of policy design. Most of the work I have done reflects my passion for public or social problems.

Through my time of study, I have come to understand that the still developing field of service design encompasses many of the things that I value the most about design. Building design cases on a holistic understanding of people and relationships is, to me, the most important aspect of service design. I find its interdisciplinary nature and the mix of strategy, business and creativity very inspiring, and I most certainly feel that designers have a role in the future of designing not only things but intangibles — such as services.

As a designer, I value leaving the desk to explore new contexts and meet new people. I thrive when people expect the most of me and when I can exchange knowledge and collaborate with people; preferably in an interdisciplinary (perhaps even post-disciplinary?) setting.

Say hello

In need of a designer? Comments? Questions? I’d be happy to hear from you whatever the reason. At the moment, I'm only available for work if the deadline is very flexible.

However, I'll be looking for new job opportunities from mid-July onwards (in Scandinavia and/or the UK, mainly), and am keen to hear from you if you have something opening up, or know of something that might be a good fit.
